The hotel grounds included Highland cows. I encountered Colin, the resident peacock, during a walk. The breakfast menu offered many delicious choices. I especially loved the homemade potato scones.

My friend and i were charmed by the surroundings. the grounds are beautiful and offered a relaxing experience (it seemed like stepping into another world). the food was delicious. We enjoyed the afternoon tea with takeout boxes for the cakes. i pre-ordered wine and it was as requested.
i felt the service was a little slow at times (especially when trying to get my tea).
