“Prestonfield House feels like a world apart, despite being so close to Edinburgh's bustle; the theatrical decor and sprawling gardens create a wonderfully private escape, and the pet-friendly policy is a real advantage. The Rhubarb restaurant is clearly a highlight, though service attentiveness seems to vary, but overall, it's a reliably luxurious experience. A genuinely special place for those seeking something distinctive.”
